Hello, new friends! We are Josh and Rachel Patterson, high school sweethearts originally from Southeast Alabama, who love to travel and are always game for a new adventure. Josh is in the military and Rachel is a Program Manager at a nonprofit organization. We’ve lived in Northern California, Louisiana, DC (and VA), and now we’re on our way to our next home in Charleston, SC.

Our long-term goal is to buy and live on a catamaran and spend at least half the year sailing, but we’re still several years away from that dream becoming reality. That doesn’t mean our dream is on hold, but we have a little longer to prepare and provision. 😉 In the meantime, we travel internationally or domestically every chance we get. Josh loves to scuba dive and is working on his private pilot’s license. Rachel loves to sail and has worked her way through ASA 114. We’re also members of a nation-wide boat club, so we’re out on the water any time the weather is nice. We just bought a motorhome and have lots of fun camping trips to share on our YouTube channel.

Pacey is our 15 year old, 5-pound Pomeranian. Rachel got him as a puppy during her second year of college and he’s been with us ever since. He loves to play fetch and snuggle up for a nap on the couch.

Sterling and Luna are nearly 3 years old and came to us from a friend whose two cats had litters in the same season. Luna is our super soft, chubby land otter, who can almost always be found in Rachel’s lap or napping in Josh’s side of the closet. She has a loud purr and is very vocal. Sterling is the most handsome, dapper kitty you’ll ever meet. He doesn’t like to be picked up or held but loves snuggling with Pacey, scritches and sleeping under blankets. He prefers Rachel’s side of the closet.
